Who we are
OddCount is run by Mykhaylo Vorobets as a sole proprietorship registered in the Polish business register (CEIDG), VAT number PL6751781952, with its address at Lipowa 3D, 30-702 Kraków, Poland. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join early access.
- Your survey answers, if you choose to answer the optional questions after joining. Every question can be skipped.
- Where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters) and the name of the website that sent you, if any. We store these with your email so we know which channels work.
- Pre-order data, if you place the refundable $19 founding pre-order: your name, email, billing details and your store’s .myshopify.com address. Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your full card number.
- Aggregated, cookieless analytics: page views, referring sites, country and device type, counted without cookies and without identifying you.
- Business contact data from public sources, for a one-time outreach email: your name, your business email address and the page where we found them. See “One-time outreach emails” below.
You don’t have to give us any of this. Without an email address we can’t add you to early access. Without the pre-order details we can’t take your pre-order or refund it.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Sending you early-access emails and reading your survey answers | Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Recording which link or website brought you to us | Our legitimate interest in knowing which channels work, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Handling your founding pre-order, refunds and the emails about them | Performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Cookieless analytics and keeping the site secure | Our legitimate interest in running a working, secure site, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| A one-time outreach email to a business contact | Our legitimate interest in telling relevant sellers about OddCount, Art. 6(1)(f) |
You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any of our emails or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did before.
We don’t make decisions about you based only on automated processing, and we don’t build profiles of you.
One-time outreach emails
We may send a single email to a business address we found in a public source, such as a store’s own website or a public marketplace seller page. We tell you in that email where we found your address. You can object at any time: reply “no” or write to [email protected], and we won’t contact you again. Together with the rest of this policy, this is the information Art. 14 GDPR requires when we don’t collect data from you directly.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers. They process data only on our instructions.
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting this site, security and cookieless web analytics |
| Tally BV | The early-access form and the optional survey |
| Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. | The founding pre-order payment and refunds |
| Zoho Mail | Sending early-access emails |
| Zoho Mail ([email protected]) and Google Workspace (outreach mailbox) | Our email inbox |
| Our accounting office | Keeping accounting and tax records |
Stripe also uses payment data as a separate controller, for example to prevent fraud and to meet its own legal obligations. Stripe’s privacy policy covers that use.
We share data with public authorities, such as the tax office, only when the law requires it. We don’t sell your data.
Some of these providers are based in, or use sub-processors in, the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Early-access list and survey answers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If the project stops, we delete the list within 30 days.
- Pre-order and refund records: for as long as Polish tax and accounting law requires, usually five years from the end of the year in which the tax for that year was due.
- Outreach contact data: if you don’t reply, we delete it within 90 days of the email. If you object, we delete it straight away. In both cases we keep only your email address and the date we wrote, so we never email you twice.
- Analytics: aggregated only, with no personal profile to keep.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- have it corrected (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- restrict how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa. If you’re in the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local or session storage. We don’t use advertising pixels, fingerprinting or Google tags. The analytics we use are cookieless.
The Tally form and Stripe’s checkout page come from those providers’ own websites, and their own cookie policies apply there.
We don’t track you across websites, and we don’t let anyone else do it through this site. We treat every visit the same way, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for how we use your data, we’ll tell you by email first.
